Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
This ongoing class takes elementary Science concepts and makes them visual for learners. Each week we will cover a Science topic (see the detailed schedule below) and create a visual for our interactive Science notebook. This is the second series in the interactive Science notebook class. Part 1 is NOT required to take this class. Learners are welcome to take both classes at the same time for extra learning and fun! :)

This class requires some prep work. Learners will need a composition notebook, scissors, glue, colored pencils/pens, and access to a printer. A weekly pdf will be provided for learners to cut and have ready for class.

How is the class structured?
The class will start with introductions and an ice breaker activity. Next, I will introduce the topic of the day and we will complete the visual for the day. Learners will have the opportunity to complete tasks related to the topic. At the end of class, we will play a Nearpod, Blooket, Gimkit, or Kahoot game to reinforce what we learned. Nearpod, Gimkit, Blooket, and Kahoot accounts are not required to access the game.

What skills will be covered?
This class covers a variety of Science topics, not limited to Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. This is an ongoing class and each class stands alone, so learners are welcome to join at any time!
