독서 장애 스포트라이트: 집중적 두뇌 게임(1:1 2회/주)

I'll work intensively with your student to improve skills such as processing speed, memory, attention, and more! Once we’ve made gains with processing, working memory, and attention… we’ll hone those skills to target reading and make visible gains! Students who are tired of practicing reading, worksheets, and endless drills… this class is for you! 

This an engaging, intensive course for students who would benefit from improving underlying skills needed for academics, specifically reading and the challenges caused by dyslexia or similar learning differences.

Join me for intensive learning through games! Together, we'll spend time improving skills such as:
- working memory
- processing speed
- attention
- memory (both  visual and auditory)
- long term memory
- transfer these skills to reading, individualized to the the unique skill set of the student!

Half of our time will be used playing brain games and completing exercises that build cognitive skills. The 2nd half of our time will be used to practice transferring those skills to language specific tasks. For example, we may play a working memory game that uses letters, words, or sentences rather than shapes and numbers. We will also focus on letter visualization to improve reading and spelling skills. 

We use games, exercises, practice, and fun to increase skills and solidify progress.

This course is 1-on-1 tutoring. The benefit of 1-on-1 is I can customize our work based on the student's level and needs. This is a truly customized program!

Learners can be of any level. I will work with them to improve skills, regardless of ability! For example, we'll practice letters and numbers with younger students, while older students may practice multiplication, division, skip counting, and comprehension! All new concepts are introduced and practiced through interactive games.
