던전앤드래곤어드벤처: 라브니카 - 길드의 도시

A high magic adventure set in a world of guild politics and intrigue, this is an ongoing class that will progress through a set of loosely connected adventures which all occur within the same world setting, but which do not require continuous engagement in order to understand what is going on, allowing students to join or leave freely. This class is great for first time players of Dungeons & Dragons, but experienced players will also find plenty to enjoy as well. New students may join at any time and email the teacher to find out what level will be appropriate for their character to begin at in order to join the rest of the class. As this class is ongoing and the narrative fluid, the activities and events encountered in class will change each week, but will usually include roleplaying, decision making, crafting the narrative, and character combat with adversaries.

In this class, the adventurers begin as denizens of Ravnica, a metropolis that spans across the entire world. From deep catacombs to sky-raking spires, Ravnica is covered in countless layers constructed over thousands of years. Lofty cathedrals, hulking courthouses, towering apartments, sprawling tenements, and cobblestone plazas spread as far as the eye can see. In this teeming cosmopolis, ten guilds vie for power, wealth, and infulence, held in an uneasy peace by a magical force called the Guildpact. But the Guildpact doesn't prevent the intrigue, subterfuge, and political machinations that are a hallmark of life in Ravnica. And now the Guildpact is gone, or seems to be. What chaos might erupt if the ambition and rivalry of the guilds goes unchecked? It's up to the adventurers to choose a guild and shape the future of Ravnica. While many in Ravnica have sworn allegiance to one of the guilds that govern the city, an equal number of its citizens remain guildless, free citizens that must navigate the city without the support a guild provides. It is entirely possible for an adventurer to be one of these citizens, risking life and limb for nothing but their own lives (and the debts they may owe).

Regardless of where they begin, each adventurer will find themselves drawn into a web of intrigue as conflict begins to boil over from the city's underbelly, leading to the discovery of a sinister plot to undermine the status quo upon which Ravnica has been built, a conspiracy that festers at the city's heart unnoticed by all but a few. How will the adventurers handle this information, and more importantly, how will it shape the destiny of the world?
