Could your learner benefit from some personalized writing feedback from an experienced and friendly teacher? Then your learner is exactly the person for whom this class is designed!

Few things are as rewarding as getting to sit down one-on-one with a young writer and simultaneously build up their writing confidence and offer suggestions, skills, and methods to take their writing to the next level! 

Prior to class, each student will submit an essay for review. A review time of 24+ hours is appreciated, but if a last-minute learner needs coaching, learners may bring their writing to class with them. 

If the writing is provided prior to class, the teacher will come to class with notes and suggestions prepared to discuss with the writer and they will workshop together during class time. 

If writings are brought to class without prior submission, the teacher will walk through the essay with the student, explaining as they go, and will finish sending remarks, comments, and suggestions after class time. 

This is a one-on-one writing coaching class, and the format each week will be based on the writing submissions of the student, and the skills they need help with the most that week based on their provided writing sample. 

Sample topics could include grammar, MLA style, hook/attention-getter writing, conclusions, transitions, using text evidence, adding in dialogue, adding sensory details, thesis writing, and just about any topic that falls under the wide umbrella of essay writing!
