In this class, we will focus on developing your drawing skills through fun projects that are based in traditional drawing methods - with a fun twist! Different methods we will explore together include: *Dissection - a method of drawing that focuses on breaking an object down into many parts. *Repetition & Variation - a method that forces the artist to look at many angles and points of view within the same object. *Zoom - a method that focuses on analyzing and breaking a large object down...
Materials for the course include: Drawing Supplies: kneaded eraser, blending stub, compressed charcoal stick, graphite stick (HB, 2B, or 4B) and/or drawing pencils (HB, 2B, and 4B) Papers: For the first two lessons, you will need at least 2 or 3 pieces of drawing paper no smaller than 9"x12". Preferably paper that is closer to 12"x18" or 16"x20" For the last two lessons, you will need 2 or 3 papers that are 18"x24". Most supplies cost between $20 and $25 total.
