My goal is that learners will have a better understanding of how to form handmade letters in a few different styles, be inspired to seek out more alternatives, and even come up with their own style!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and spent my first 10 years out of college working with professional designers and photographers in the publishing world. During that time, I designed and approved layouts to go to print. I learned how typefaces and various hand-lettering techniques can take the entire spread to a higher level and catch a reader's attention. I have also enjoyed journaling and used special hand-lettering techniques in my own work for many years. I am excited to share this with others!

Throughout the class, learners will be encouraged to share their work to assess their progress and understanding. We will engage in respectful and relaxed conversation and they are always encouraged to ask questions as needed.
