수업 소개
Draw Alligator Pie Shapes and Lines is back! Request a day and time that works for you, and I'll do my best to accommodate it. In this simple, interactive drawing class, learners will identify specific types of shapes and lines that appear inside the book, "Alligator Pie" written by Dennis Lee. As we read together, students will look for these shapes and lines, especially the mystery shape. Now it’s time for a drawing game! After a short demonstration, students can draw along with me on their copy. We’ll repeat the drawing game again with different, simple shapes until the class concludes. Before we sign off, everyone chooses their favourite drawing to share. Students can easily continue to play this game on their own or with a friend.

Students will learn to identify and draw specific shapes and lines. This process is a steppingstone to create more complex drawings in the future. It also builds dexterity and gives their imagination a work out.

I was honoured to win a nation wide contest to illustrate Dennis Lee's reprint of Alligator Pie. I have illustrated five published children's books in total. I graduated from a Canadian Art College in Visual Communications, then worked as an illustrator for thirty years, doing mostly editorial and advertising commissions. I have done numerous, live drawing presentations for elementary age children at schools and libraries. Most recently, I taught Illustration and drawing fundamentals for seven years at a Canadian Art University.리뷰
