Do you play DnD? If you're looking for a group to practice drawing the creatures featured in these games and stories, join us! This is a directed, step-by-step, sketching and drawing class for students who love magical creatures, myths and legends, fiction and fantasy. ⭐New to Outschool? Enter the coupon code at checkout.⭐ My goal is to create a fun, creative learning environment where students can comfortably learn to draw and chat about their favorite stories. Each class begins with an introduction to a popular mythical creature, monster, or beast. Students choose which version of the creature to draw, then I demonstrate how to draw the basic body of the magical creature, starting with basic shapes, and working step-by-step. Students may add their own creative flair to their drawings. I provide individual feedback through the class, and everyone will have the opportunity to present their drawing at the end. Students are welcome to talk about their favorite fantasy stories as we draw. Fans of Pokemon, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Disney's Hercules, the anime Full Metal Alchemist, Marvel Comics, and the Avengers movies welcome! Did you know each of these stories features a creatures or character from an ancient myths? I hold a Bachelors in Fine Art from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and am a former public school art teacher. I love teaching drawing, painting, sculpture and Photoshop to learners of all ages. I've been teaching for 20+ years and running my own piano studio for 10+ years.
