수업 소개
Class will start out with a finger play about 5 large dinosaurs. These crazy dinosaurs keep getting into all sorts of trouble along the way. Students will help Teacher Lauren count down the dinosaurs from 5-1. Next students will color and decorate a dinosaur of their own. Using their imagination students can add things such as polka dots, stripes, or maybe clothes for their dinosaur. Students will then learn a fun finger play with simple movements called " The gigantic baby dinosaur". In the finger play a volcano erupts and the baby dinosaur runs home. In this lesson we will be making a play dough volcano we will watch erupt. Mixing baking soda and vinegar we will see our "lava" falling over the sides.

•Students will be taking part in a simple subtraction poem. We will be taking one dinosaur away and using proper subtraction vocabulary.
•Students will be able to identify and learn simple facts about several common known dinosaurs.
• Students will take part in a simple scientific experiment about erupting volcano.

During class students will be making a volcano erupt. Students will need a parents assistance during this part of class as they will be using baking soda and vinegar. Caution should always be used when working with any type of scientific experiment.
Due to Outschool's policy we ask that parents stay off camera while assisting your student.
Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.

Hello, Parents! My name is Teacher Lauren. It's so nice to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
With over 18 years of teaching experience I am so very excited to start an exciting adventure with your child. I grew up in a small shrimping community in Louisiana. I have a Associates degree in science in early childhood education. I have experience working with children both in a preschool setting and 3rd-5th grade in a classroom setting. I now have 2 years of experience teaching online in a virtual classroom.
I alter my teaching style to meet the needs of the student(s). I strive to engage children through games and hands on activities. I have created a flexible curriculum that can be altered to better suit my students. In my classes, your learner will be having so much fun that they will not even realize they are learning! I encourage a lot of engagement and participation between myself and the learners as well as learner to learner.
When I am not teaching I am with my family. I am married and have 3 teenaged children. We also have 2 fur babies named Nunya and Kajun. As a family we enjoy Friday night high school football games, or after the season ends you can find us having family game night. I also enjoy going to the beach, and disney.
