In this one-time tech class, learners will learn about the world of the 19th century poet, writer and designer, William Morris, and explore some of his well-known wallpaper and textile designs. Learners will then use a range of techniques to create their own symmetrical textile design looking to the design ideas employed by Morris and fellow artisans. I have been fortunate to have been involved in education services for over 30 years and have extensive experience delivering classroom-based lessons and online digital e-learning packages to both schools and home educated students. I have taught, as a qualified teacher, in mainstream schools for 20 plus years, and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I really enjoy teaching digital i-Media and like to spend my free time creating digital content and digital art.

For this lesson, you will need access to the Procreate App on an i-Pad or i-Phone, and a suitable compatible drawing pencil, such as the Apple Pencil). This class is best delivered if you can work on your iPad whilst watching the demonstration on a different device. This will allow you to watch the demonstrations while you are drawing on your device.
