Designed especially for curious explorers ages 7–12, this five-day interactive camp takes students on an exciting journey through time, uncovering the secrets of ancient worlds through paleontology, archaeology, geology, and anthropology. Each day, students will "dig in" to a new scientific field, discovering how fossils form, how ancient civilizations are uncovered, how Earth's rocks reveal the past, and how early humans lived. Through hands-on projects, virtual dig challenges, games, drawing, and interactive storytelling, learners will build foundational STEM and critical thinking skills — all while fueling their curiosity and sense of adventure! 🌍 Daily Breakdown: What We’ll Explore! 📅 Day 1: Fossil Hunters! (Paleontology) 🦴 What is a paleontologist? How do fossils form? Make your own fossil imprint and explore the prehistoric past! 📅 Day 2: Ancient Artifacts Adventure (Archaeology) 🏺 Discover how archaeologists uncover lost civilizations. Excavate hidden artifacts and solve ancient mysteries! 📅 Day 3: Secrets in the Stones (Geology) 🪨 Explore Earth’s layers, rocks, and crystals. Create a layered Earth model and learn how rocks tell stories! 📅 Day 4: Discovering Early Humans (Anthropology) 🧠 Find out how ancient humans survived and thrived. Design your own "cave art" and explore early tools and shelters! 📅 Day 5: Expedition Finale: Time Capsules & Game Show Challenge! 🎯 Become a junior explorer! Create a personal "time capsule" to represent your life today, then imagine future archaeologists discovering it and (hilariously) misinterpreting your items in a virtual museum exhibit. We'll finish the week with a fun Jeopardy-style Expedition Game Show to review everything we've learned! ✨ What to Expect Each Day: ✔️ Engaging science lessons with fun slides, visuals, and mini-stories ✔️ Hands-on projects using simple household materials ✔️ Interactive games, scavenger hunts, and creative challenges ✔️ Expedition Journal activities to track discoveries ✔️ Opportunities for sharing, discussion, and celebration This age-appropriate, high-energy camp format ensures that learners can explore real-world science concepts in a fun, supportive, and imaginative environment! This course supports STEM and early social studies concepts through hands-on exploration, creative thinking, and collaborative learning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This course supports the following Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) concepts for Grades 2–5: ESS1.C: The History of Planet Earth (geology, fossils) ESS2.A: Earth's Materials and Systems (rock layers, crystals) LS4.A: Evidence of Common Ancestry and Diversity (fossil records) LS4.D: Biodiversity and Humans (early human adaptation) ETS1.A: Defining and Delimiting Engineering Problems (expedition challenges, creative projects) Crosscutting Concepts: Patterns; Cause and Effect; Structure and Function

We offer small group classes that are inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, and support ADHD, ASD, gifted, and 2e learners through hands-on activities, visuals, movement, and flexible participation options to meet diverse learning needs.
학부모 가이드
This class discusses fossils, ancient artifacts, and early human history in an age-appropriate, science-focused manner. Hands-on activities involve small objects; younger learners may benefit from light supervision during excavation-style projects.
No third-party tools requiring accounts will be used.
Please note: Some brands of playdough or modeling dough may contain wheat and gluten. If your learner has a gluten allergy or sensitivity, we recommend using a gluten-free dough alternative for the fossil imprint activity.
