Cults have fascinated people for centuries and have often led to dark moments in history. How can a leader or leaders convince a group of people to follow them? Students will learn the history behind each cult. Students will have an understanding of what influenced individuals to join these cults. Students will be given perspectives of the damaging consequences of these groups.
I am a certified teacher in the intermediate and senior divisions with specific qualifications in history, geography, math, and special education.
This course is designed for mature students. We will be discussing cult practices and in some cases, their tragic endings (suicide and death). Images, videos, and information will be closely monitored to ensure it is appropriate for students. This course is designed to be educational and teach the history of these cults.
