The point of this multiday course is to bring appreciation to all animal species, including species that are labeled as creepy. Each week we will have a live reptile, amphibian, or invertebrate friend join us so we can learn about the individual animal, their species, and what makes them so important. This class will be taught with a live animal ambassador, which will allow the students to connect with the topic easier and further their appreciation for animals! This will be a creative space...
Students will improve their understanding of the distribution, diet, adaptations, biology, and individual characteristics of a different live animal every week during this ongoing course. The live animal ambassadors will either be an amphibian, reptile, or invertebrate. We will discuss the importance of each animal and also learn about the individual traits of the animal that is joining us for class. Each animal has its own distinct personality and by introducing them to the learners, they can form a new perception about that species overall!
