Students will gain experience in how to take and offer critiques about creative writing, collaborate with peers, as well as how to share their own writing out loud to an audience. In addition, each week will teach students a new topic in the creative writing field to help them expand their creative writing knowledge.

I currently hold an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Minor in Creative Writing, and am on track to graduate with a Master of Arts in Teaching this Fall of 2021. Throughout all of my academic career, I have had practice with my craft in creative writing. This is especially true during my undergraduate degree in English and Creative Writing. I gained important knowledge in how to share out my creative works as well as knowledge about all of the themes I will be presenting to the students for this class.

Learner progress will be assessed on a formative assessment basis when actually interacting with the students in class. I will determine whether or not students are meeting the learning needs and goals each week and following along formatively.
