In this multi-day class students will meet 4 times (2 times a week) to learn how to write a descriptive paragraph using a word web and sentence frames. We will create a word web on a topic (an animal or food item) and use it to fill in the blanks of a sentence frame. Together the class will list nouns, verb, and adjectives related to the topic. Using that class created list, the students will learn how to take those parts of speech and add them into fill in the blank sentence frames....
Students will write a 5-7 sentence descriptive paragraph describing a topic on an animal or food item by using sentence frames.
