창의적 글쓰기 클럽 - 발로 생각하기 - 상상력을 넓히기

Creative writing doesn't mean you aspire to be a novelist or poet. It means you like to write creatively. Pour your thoughts through your arms, push to your fingertips and punch keys, or make your pencil flow. I want learners to do just that in these classes. 

Each class will have a different writing prompt wherein they will have fifteen minutes to write and then twenty minutes for discussion. Learners are encouraged to give feedback and converse with all student prompts. Students are not required to share. 

Jump in! I promise you won't regret it. 

Week 1 <Thursday, March 7th> Everyone asks "What would you tell your younger self." But... What if you met your older self? What would you tell them?

Week 2 <Thursday, March 14th> Think of a magnificent animal (that's not a dog or a cat). Describe the animal to a blind person. Use words and phrases that Show, not Tell.

Week 3 <Thursday, March 21st> Write a Mobeus poem (I will explain what it is and have examples. You're going to need paper, pen/pencil, and a bit of tape)

Week 4 <Thursday, March 28th> Your starting sentence is.. “Woah, that’s a big hamster.”

Week 5 - <Thursday, April 4th> Picture Prompt!

Week 6 <Thursday, April 11th> If you had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Keep in mind, this is the only song you will EVER hear! It doesn't matter what you are listening to music through, this song will play. Switch to every station on the radio, this is the only song.

Week 7 <Thursday, April 18th>  Free Write - Just start writing and see what comes of it. You may surprise yourself.

Week 8 <Thursday, April 25th>  If you could insert yourself into any book, movie, or television show world, which would it be and why? Would you become a known character or your own? Who would be your best friend, your worst enemy? What would be your challenge?


Further weeks will be planned. Some weeks may change if learners have agreed upon a prompt that they wish to pursue.
