Get those creative juices flowing in this super fun, exciting creative writing class! We will let our imaginations run wild and turn those awesome ideas into stories. 

"I don't know what to write about!" is often a writer's problem. This class will combat writer's block while building upon core writing skills. 

Learners will be welcomed to class with a fun ice-breaker to become familiar with me (the teacher) and their peers! Before writing time, we will have a mini-lesson to touch upon various writing topics/techniques. Students will become familiar with the story elements, and during the "pre-writing" stage, writers will be encouraged to brainstorm/ list ideas to organize their thoughts.

I will provide engaging, thought-provoking prompts or pictures related to various genres to inspire discussion. As the teacher, I will facilitate the conversation and encourage students to think creatively. Students will learn how to turn those ideas into story plots. 

 **These classes will be designed to allow students to open their minds as writers and to be as creative as possible. Students are not required to write about the class topic (their ideas are welcomed!). 

Students will have approximately 20 minutes to write independently (teacher support will always be available). If students choose to, they will share their writing with the class. I will provide feedback to each student, and writers will be encouraged to apply the feedback to revise their work. 

The class environment will be highly interactive, and each student will feel welcomed as we embark on our writing journey! I hope to see you in class :)
