In this 6-week course, students will develop the necessary skills to confidently and compellingly write a short fictional story. Each week, we will discuss a different aspect of short-story writing and implement it into an ongoing story that the learners will write on their own. Being that this is also an English class, the teacher will read over (or otherwise check) students' writing samples to provide spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other general writing corrections, as well as overall...
Students will learn the tools needed to write and finish an effective, short, fictional story. They can also use these skills to write longer stories, or to help them with dynamic essay writing as well. Additionally, students will also have a chance to improve their writing skill, vocabulary, grammar, and planning.
Students should have paper and pencil every day, or some other way to write. (Paper and pencil is preferred.)
