In this creative writing and journaling club, students will learn how to think creatively and journal their thoughts and ideas. We will spend some time in class exploring the prompt, as well as time journaling. Students will have the opportunity to share what they are writing with the class and explore how to use the prompt to write more polished pieces of work. Each week will have a different journal prompt and we will explore various forms of journaling. This will allow students to express themselves in different ways and explore which ways work best for them. February 13: Write about a time you were surprised February 20: What would your superpower be? February 27: Describe a perfect day March 06: If you were a mouse in your house in the evening, what would you see your family doing? March 13: If you had to describe yourself as a color, which would you choose? March 20: What is a toy you used to like that you don't like as much anymore? March 27: If you were an animal what would you be? 4/23 Write about a song that makes you feel something 4/30 What is your favorite room in your house? 5/1 If you could live inside one of your favorite stories which would it be? What would you change? 5/8 Write about your favorite summer 5/15 How was this year different from the last? 5/22 What's your favorite memory about a person?
