수업 소개

영어 수준 - 알 수 없음
미국 9학년 - 12학년 학년
레벨 Beginner - Advanced
Join other middle and high school learners as we share our best photos, explore how to improve our disasters, and push one another to grow as photographers. Each meeting features an exciting new challenge, based on the previous week's discussion and the individual needs of each learner.

What Makes Our Club Special?
Weekly Challenges: Each week, I guide learners to understand both their strengths and weaknesses as photographers, with the goal of helping them to become lifelong photographers and learners. Throughout our discussions, I note areas in need of development and guide learners in crafting a creative challenge based on their unique needs and abilities. From capturing the magic of everyday life to exploring new perspectives and technology, these challenges promise to keep young photographers inspired and engaged.

Dynamic Discussions: Our meetings are a lively exchange of ideas where learners discuss and critique each other's work. It's not just about taking photos—it's about understanding the story behind each image, learning to appreciate diverse viewpoints, and exploring how to express one's own perspective through visual language.

Expert Guidance: With personalized feedback and insights from an experienced educator, learners will gain invaluable skills that transcend simple snapshots. Whether you take photos with a smartphone, pocket camera, or advanced mirrorless camera body, I will help you learn to expand your photography skillset.

A Typical Meeting
1. Welcome: We kick off with a warm welcome, celebrating the week’s photographic achievements and providing tailored feedback on submitted works.
2.In-Depth Exploration: Learners choose a standout photograph for a deeper dive. Together, we'll analyze elements like composition, lighting, and focus. Sometimes, we even play with editing tools, learning how to enhance images through cropping, color adjustments, and more.
3. Looking Ahead: As we wrap up, we set the stage for the next challenge, fostering a sense of curiosity and excitement for what’s to come. Throughout the week, our vibrant online classroom serves as a hub for sharing and collaboration.

학습 요구
I provide both visual and audio support for learners with special needs. Weekly notes are provided to learners, based on their participation in class discussions.
학부모 가이드
Please check photos to ensure they are appropriate for sharing in the classroom and do not contain anything which the family considers private (addresses, faces of people who's jobs restrict online presence, etc.)
사전 요구 사항
Learners should have a basic understanding of how to use their camera, copy photos to the computer, and post them to the classroom.

Learners will need to have:
- A digital camera. They may use a phone camera or a standalone digital camera.
- A basic understanding of how to take a photograph using their camera.
- Ability to download photos from the camera and upload them to the Outschool classroom. I can give reminders and some guidance, but this class is focused on the technique of photography rather than how to manage files on devices.
