Students will learn the skills, tools, and applications necessary to create their own, unique video. Specifically, the student will learn how to create a folder for images; how to upload/download these images to use as media; how to save work within the application; how to create & modify backgrounds & transitions, as well as add & modify text; how to record audio clips, as well as use music and other audio files; create introductions and concluding slides; as well as finalize their video, and then downloading and sharing their new creation. 
*These video-creating skills will be invaluable throughout the learners’ life.

I have been a Business and Computer Applications & Technology teacher for more than 11 years, and have used a variety of video-creating applications during that time. I have used WeVideo for a variety of uses in my educational classes, as well as for numerous advertising campaigns for my own businesses, as an entrepreneur. I have taught my students how to use WeVideo for years as it is a simple-to-use video creation tool, and it has been a vital instrument both inside & outside of the classroom for me personally, as a means of allowing others to learn new information in a fun way, and keeping my memories in a fun, professional format. It is such a joy to teach others how to use video-creating applications, such as WeVideo, for their own life too!

There is no formal homework for this course, however, learners may want to take what they learned and practice it outside of class (ie.: upload additional photos to their folder, practice adding in pictures, backgrounds, and such to our practice video, etc.). 
Teacher will add additional resources to the Outschool Classroom as needed, or for those students who just want more practice with the tools & application.
