In this one time group class, students will learn the essential skills to edit videos for school projects, social media, or even their own YouTube channel. Students will explore the core functions of iMovie, including importing footage, cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions and effects, working with audio, and exporting polished videos. This class is designed for kids & pre-teens interested in video production and looking for a way to express their creative ideas. They'll walk away with the introductory skills needed to edit professional quality videos, and the knowledge to produce content for Youtube.

Class is designed to support students with unique learning needs, including ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD, by offering step-by-step instruction and a flexible, engaging environment.

We will be using the editing program, iMovie, and students may need help adding the program to their computer, iPhone or iPad.
We may watch short film clips, all rated PG. These clips will be screened via screen share, so students won’t need access to YouTube.

No prior experience or prerequisites are required. Learners of all skill levels are welcome to join.
