5 lessons//5 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Your Ideal Land & Intro to StoryboardsWe will begin by thinking about our "ideal land" and learning about how storyboards are used in attraction design.Week 2Lesson 2Storyboards & Ride Systems and Attraction LayoutIn this lesson, we will complete our own storyboards for your attraction that you will design, as well as learn about the different types of ride systems and how attractions are laid out.Week 3Lesson 3Begin Scale Models of AttractionsIn this lesson, we will continue to learn more about what goes into scale models and begin building/creating our own scale models.Week 4Lesson 4Scale Models of Attraction & Story Concept VisualizationIn this lesson, we learn about story concept visualization as we continue to focus on creating a scale model for an attraction we would design.Week 5Lesson 5Finish and Submit Scale ModelsIn our last lesson, the focus is strictly on completing the scale models and submitting them into the classroom!

Students will be completing three assignments during this 5 week flex class: 1) Story Board (Due Week 2) 2) Attraction Lay Out (Due Week 3) 3) Scale Model of Attraction (Due Week 5)수업 외 주당 2 - 4 시간

Story Board: Paper, Writing Utensil, Colors, Google Docs, Digital Art tools, etc... (you can create your story board digitally or in print) Attraction Lay Out: Paper, Writing Utensil, Colors, Google Docs, Digital Art tools, etc... (you can create your story board digitally or in print) Scale Model: You can create your Scale Model digitally or build your own Scale Model. To build your own Scale Model: (Suggestions!) Use simple materials you can find at home (cardboard, styrofoam, paper) Start broad and layout everything first in 2D, then build things up in 3D Add the little details after you have a rough 3D shape for your model One way to identify scene locations is with small pieces of paper with drawings on them. Once you finish your model you can try doing a ride preview using a small camera (such as a phone)
