Week 1Lesson 1What is anxiety?We will learn what anxiety is. Understanding anxiety is the first step in managing anxiety.Week 2Lesson 2Anxiety & The BrainWe will discuss how anxiety affects our brain.Week 3Lesson 3Normality & EvolutionWe will be learning what is a normal level of anxiety and how the feeling of fear helped in the evolution. This includes the fight vs flight response.Week 4Lesson 4Coping SkillsIn this lesson we will be learning different coping skills and strategies to help manage our ADHD. I will give multiple options and learners will be encouraged to find the coping strategies that work best for them.
Students will learn what anxiety is, how anxiety can affect the brain, fight vs flight response and more! By the end of the course, each learner will develop coping strategies and techniques specific to themselves.
I am excited to present this class to you because I have extensive experience with teaching coping skills and anxiety management to middle and high schoolers. I have a degree in psychology with a concentration in child development. I worked with our local community service board in the school system for 8 years working with children and teens ages 3-18. I taught a weekly group about emotions, coping skills, and did individual counseling daily.

This class focuses on anxiety, and sometimes discussing these feelings can trigger this emotion. Talking about healthy coping skills will of course include unhealthy coping skills.
