I am excited to venture into the kitchen for this class! We will first go over a slide show with basic kitchen safety, cooking skills, measurement and the expectations in the class. Then, we will all move to our kitchens to cook! The beginning of the cooking process requires simple heating on the stove top. I cannot wait for us all to find our inner unicorns to make this delicious fudge! * If you have an outdoor lover at your house...check out our camo fudge class! It is a fun class for boys and girls!

**Parental support is highly suggested to keep all children safe.*** Once we have melted our first few ingredients using the stove top, we will no longer need the heat. The rest of the lesson can be completed independently.

Learners will need the following ingredients for our class:
24 ounces of vanilla almond bark (white chocolate)
*It is also called vanilla candy coating. I found mine at Walmart and at our local grocery store and just bought the off brand.
If you cannot find almond bark/candy coating, you can use white chocolate chips. The recipe will work with one 12 ounce bag of
white chocolate chips and a can of sweetened condense milk...you just make a little less and you might need to add a little milk.
14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Food coloring (I like the neon colors with pink, purple, lime green and turquoise)
Other supplies needed:
8x8 baking dish
cooking spray
4 small bowls (cereal bowl size)
small saucepan
teaspoon
1/4 cup measure
sprinkles (you may use any sprinkles that remind you of unicorns!)
rubber spatula for stirring
spoons for mixing in bowls
knife for swirling

Hello! My name is Emily Ruth and my passion in life is teaching children of all different ages in all different settings. I began my teaching career in a 1st grade classroom in a public school. After 5 years, I went back to school and received a license to be a speech language pathologist assistant. I have taught English to children in China on the internet and I tutor children ages kindergarten through 4th grade. Using music and rhythm across different subjects makes learning more fun and engaging. I teach kids their multiplication facts through catchy songs that really “stick” since music is the easiest way to remember information! We learn tricky sight words to a beat to make them easier and much more fun. I look forward to teaching classes with a fun read aloud and an exciting craft to go along with our book. With my expereince in 1st grade, I feel confident reinforcing those phonological skills and teaching children to read. I can’t wait to see you in my classroom for some reading, singing, crafting, cooking and fun! 리뷰
