How did Adolf Hitler evolve from stateless immigrant and convicted of treason to lead Germany into WWII and embark on a path of annihilation and empire building? 

This one time class will trace Hitler's unlikely climb from obscurity into a notorious place in history.  Students do not need to have studied World War I or World War II to enjoy success in this class. 

The class will answer the above questions via a combination of slide presentation, discussion, video, images and/or audio clips where students are encouraged to ask questions.

Each 70 minute class includes the following topics:

1. Set the Stage - Hitler's early life and background, Germany Post-WWI and the Great Depression
2. Hitler's path to citizenship and political activism
3. Treason, prison, and the growth of the Nazi Party
4. Run for office and climb to Fuhrer

This class does not discuss the Holocaust or the Final Solution. Those topics are taught in separate classes. 


Discussion and interaction are required elements of this class and students are STRONGLY urged to use their cameras and microphones in order to receive the full benefits of this class.

If enrollment falls below 3 learners 48 hours before this class is scheduled to begin, it will be rescheduled for a later date. Full refunds will be provided for learners who cannot attend the newly scheduled class time. All other refunds will be provided as per the Outschool Limited Refund policy (see below). Transfer requests within 24 hours of a scheduled class will NOT be approved.  At that point it is too late to reschedule the class, and it is unfair to other families who may have enrolled thinking there were multiple learners enrolled. Instead students will be encouraged to watch the video of the class.
