In this semester class, I will walk students through the skills skill needed in real life situations such as basic quick addition/subtraction/multiplication/division in shopping, calculating taxes, estimating a monthly budget, calculating interest rates and more.

Class will start with a welcoming greeting and I will spend 5 minutes saying hello to everyone and seeing how everyone is doing. I will then take a few minutes to introduce our topic for the day and what we will be covering. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problems and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk me through solving the problems. After this, students will be able to do our last few problems of the class on their own using the steps we've practiced. 

As students get stuck or held up on a problem, we will use it as a time to encourage them and help them figure out the next step to solve. 

Worksheets will be provided for the students to practice after each class.
