소비자 수학 1학기 - 현실 세계에서 사는 법

This consumer math class is designed to enable the student to be able to survive in the real world. The student will learn how to buy a car, get insurance, travel, get a job, budget, bank, invest, and start a business. The final term of the class will have the student choosing employment, salary, living, etc. for a 4-week period. Each week will represent one year in the life of the student. We will begin the first lesson after the first of the year. This class will meet weekly and will build upon its knowledge each week. This is the 1st part (Part A) of this class. After these 20 lessons, we will have part B followed by part C at a later date.

Week 1 Lesson 1 (Starting the week of January 3, 2022) - What size car do you want? Advantages and Disadvantages, actual cost of the car: initial price, cost of financing, registration fee, taxes, insurance, gas, oil, maintenance and repairs, parking fees, tolls, and depreciation value of the car. Do you need a warranty? If so, how much? Trade in value of previous car if you have one. Equipment in new car: Base or options. Part A
Lesson 2 - What size car do you want?  Lesson 3 - Analytical Skill of Buying a Car - There will be a review over weeks 1 & 2. Quiz over Lesson 1 & 2
 Lesson 4 - Travelling - Should you go by rental car, bus, train, or airplane. Part A
 Lesson 5 - Travelling - Time Zones. Part B
 Lesson 6 -Analytical Skill of travelling and determining whether to drive, take a bus or train or airplane; and determine the time zones. There will be a review over weeks 1 & 2. Quiz over lessons 4 & 5
Lesson 7 -Income - Hourly wages, time clocks, piecework and tips, salaries and commission, self-employed workers. Part A
 Lesson 8 - Analytical Skills for wages; selecting job, car, salary, and living arrangements. (Mrs. McDonald will keep a ledger of all selections and changes and additions. There will be a quick review of lessons from weeks 1 through 7. 
Lesson 9 - Income - Deductions. Part B
Lesson 10 - Analytical Skills for Deductions. There will be a review over lessons 7 & 9.Quiz over lessons 7 - 9
 Lesson 11 - Budgeting: Budgeting Time and Household Budgets Part A.
Lesson 12 - Analytical Skills for Budgeting. There will be a review over weeks 9 & 11.
