수업 소개
Speaking in front of others can be scary but the more you practice the more confidence you gain! We are all naturally more confident when talking about something that interests us which is why Show and Tell is an amazing opportunity for children to practice speaking in front of a group. This class will help learners practice their english speaking skills and help them build their confidence. This class uses a show and tell type structure to help facilitate maximum speaking time from learners. Learners can choose to show any thing that they like from a favourite book to their favourite toy car, anything that interests them! Each student will have the opportunity to share about their object with guidance from the teacher when necessary and will also get to practice answering and asking questions about the presentations in class. In class learners will have the opportunity to improve on their speaking skills as they learn how to start and end a presentation as well as work on how to organize their ideas. The main goal of this class is to get the learners talking as much as possible to help increase confidence when speaking in public. If you feel as though your student may be too shy during class or too shy to speak please send me a message before class and I will be sure to create a list of prompting questions to help the student present their item. I am a very enthusiastic and energetic teacher so I always try to keep my classes as exciting as possible. Students can get as creative as they want with their presentation, they are welcome to bring photo’s, props, tell a story or even sing a song. Let’s get your young learners talking and build up their public speaking confidence!

Hello Outschool!
My name is Brittany Brousseau I am a passionate neurodiverse woman who loves working with today's youth. I am a certified ADHD Life Coach and hold a B.A in Psychology as well as have completed my TESOL certification. I have had a passion for teaching children for as long as I can remember and have taken many child psychology courses throughout my university career. I have over 9 years of experience working with children and youth and love nothing more than to be a positive mentor.
Through my experiences working with all children and children with a variety of exceptionalities I have developed teaching philosophies which allow me to create super fun engaging learning environments that adapt to different learning types. I have experience creating specialized aquatic lessons and programs for children with ASD and other exceptionalities which have been among the most rewarding accomplishments of my life. I am a huge believer in Montessori philosophies and always try to empower learners to engage with materials in their own unique way. I encourage creativity and am always amazed at how the developing child’s brain works. Having myself grown up with ADHD I know how powerful a good teacher is at shaping how a person looks at education and engages with the world. I am very passionate about helping youth learn about themselves so that they can be their best selves.
I offer classes about ADHD to help todays youth learn about themselves and how to navigate the world with their Neurodiversity. My ADHD classes take from my Life Coaching Philosophies and draw from the experience I have from working with my private clients. I also offer public speaking classes for young kids to help them gain confidence.
I’m an avid swimmer with a competitive swimming background and I love trying adventurous things. I’m an avid kite surfer and am always looking for an opportunity to be in and around the water. I love sharing my experiences with my learners and hearing all about the amazing things that they do.
