Looking for the next step in your artistic journey? This class is a primer on using color and a variety of media. Each class will focus on learning a different art medium, technique, and topic. ⭐New to Outschool? Send me a message before you enroll!!!⭐ This is a mixed media class for students who are interested in expanding their drawing and painting skills while learning color theory and a variety of techniques. I strongly recommend that all students (even older students) begin with "How to Draw.... EVERYTHING! Realistic Drawing Techniques for Beginners" before joining this class. Silhouette
Students will learn how to use a watercolor wash and dry brushing techniques to create a silhouette image. 50 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Landscape
Students will learn about basic perspective and oil pastel techniques while making a landscape. We may use colored pencils for detail work to make a mixed media masterpiece! 50 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Still Life
Students will organize and draw a still life using objects they have around the home. We will use oil pastels and crayons or other media to make our own scratchboards. 50 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Mythological Creatures

Students need to be prepared with their materials at the start of class as much as possible. STUDENTS MUST HAVE: Watercolors Watercolor Brushes Watercolor Paper (not the same as sketch book paper!) Oil Pastels (I recommend Expressionist by Sakura) Chalk Pastels (I recommend Ohuhu brand) Colored Pencils (Prismacolors are best, Artisto also work well) Drawing, Sketchbook, or Multimedia Quality Paper ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES - Students will need at least ONE item from each list: 🖊️ Scraping Tool (plastic knife, old ballpoint pen, putty knife, scratchboard tool, popsicle stick, OR nail file etc.) 🧽Blending Tool (Q-tip, Makeup Sponge, Silicone tip sculpting OR blending tools) 🧻 Paper towel 📚Colorful Sketchbook or Drawing Paper, Canvas Paper, Canvas Board, OR Gessoed/ Acrylic-painted paper (prepare and dry before class!)

I hold a Bachelors in Fine Art from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and am a former public school art teacher. I love teaching drawing, painting, sculpture and Photoshop to learners of all ages. I've been teaching for 20+ years and running my own piano studio for 10+ years.
