In this class, students learn:
▪️ Clarinet Assembly and Disassembly
▪️ Holding the Clarinet and
▪️ Making their First Clarinet Sound 

If there is extra time, students learn to play extra notes (A, G, F, E, D, and C) and play up to six songs! This solid foundation gives your learner a savvy start for a lifetime of playing! This class is structured in an "I do, we do, you do" format. For example, the instructor assembles a part of their clarinet, the class assembles that specific part and the instructor spot-checks each child has assembled their clarinet correctly. This ensures the success of every student. 

🎵🎵🎵 About Your Instructor, Ms. Katherine 🎵🎵🎵
▪️ I've been teaching music for over twenty years to students of all ages (5-90), levels, and exceptionalities. 
▪️ I have two bachelor's degrees in music (Instrumental Music Education, Clarinet Performance) and a master's degree in Educational Technology.
▪️ I specialize in assisting your child to reach their fullest potential on the instrument.
▪️ I'm a professional multi-instrumentalist in flute, clarinet, and saxophone. I play all three of these instruments professionally. I do nothing else but play these instruments. I've studied and continue to study these instruments that I've been playing for 25 years.
▪️ I believe everyone has the ability to succeed at learning music. I am a highly energetic, thorough, and knowledgeable teacher. Music is an essential part of being human. My classroom is a safe learning environment where all students gain confidence through learning music.

▪️This class is intended for the very beginning student with no previous knowledge or experience playing the clarinet. If your child has previous experience, feel free to send us a message to discuss alternative options. 

▪️This is a 40-minute, one-time, live class. Our organization has several instructors who teach live 1:1 private music lessons. We also have a FLEX class designed for beginner clarinets. It is called "FLEX: "Clarinets Take Flight!" Beginning Program: Unleash Your Musical Potential."
