For my standards based approach in calendar time, I will be supporting the Saxon Math Kindergarten Morning Meeting Curriculum expectations. For our literacy preparatory content, I will be following the foundation skills check list and reading standards for Kindergarten.
I’m a compassionate and charismatic teacher who loves to teach! I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the last 13 years. In that time, I have been a general education teacher in the public schools setting for 8 years and specialized as a reading coach to my school for an additional two years. I have been teaching English and reading online since February 2020. I’m certified to teach Elementary education from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I taught Kindergarten for a year and supported their instruction practices for two years as a reading coach. The first year in elementary school is a daunting task for our sweet 5 and 6 year old children. I want to ensure that our classroom is an encouraging, supportive, and safe place to learn and grow as a student. I have taught these lessons in the public school setting with many students who have mastered the content and for 3 years on Outschool. I’m looking forward to sharing this fun class with your wonderful student!
