This chess club is a more free-flowing and interactive version of my traditional classes. Rather than focusing on doing rigid lesson plans, my goal for the chess club is for students to take a more active role in their chess progress while I help facilitate and administer games, exercises, and discussions. I have been teaching chess, both in classroom settings and private lessons for the last 12 years. Working with K-12 students with classes of up to 50 students, I have the experience and knowledge to teach students to not only learn chess, but to enjoy the process of learning as well. I'm rated around 1900 USCF.
