Learn to create a lively cedar waxwing in this watercolor class. We will learn proper brush use and care. We will talk about how certain colors compliment each other and practice blending without over-blending. Shading and hi-lighting will be discussed. Each student will be encouraged to play with color combinations to create their own unique masterpiece. We will learn why yellow, orange and red work so well together. My classes are structured to give just enough instruction to foster independence. A little color theory is always thrown in just for fun.

One 8 by 10 watercolor paper, regular paper can rip. One #12 round brush that comes to a nice point. Watercolor paints: black, white, brown, blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, I used the whole rainbow for mine :) Palette paper (or a foam plate works) Paper towels, and a bowl of water.
