This class will introduce or review the steps of the scientific method using candy canes! We will compare mixtures and solutions and identify the signs of a chemical reaction. The class will open with students sharing their favorite holiday foods or candies with one another. Baking sheet, bin, or craft tray Package of mini or full-sized candy canes (at least 6 candy canes) Warm & cold water About 1.5 cups of white vinegar About 1/2 cup baking soda Medicine dropper or pipette (optional) Spoon
