In this three-day camp, students will embark each time on a different journey with characters from famous pieces of classical music (Papageno, Sugar Plum Fairy, etc.). We will listen to the music of composers like Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Mussorgsky, and others. The children will be invited to reenact parts of different characters and "help" one of them with his or her difficulties. In the second portion of the camp, students will make open-ended crafts inspired by their musical journeys and prepared materials. 🎶🤩 My main goal is to familiarize children with famous pieces of classical music and make them realize how much fun classical music is. Class is appropriate for (𝐂𝐄𝐅𝐑: B1, B2, C1, C2) Day 1 Quest to the Enchanted Forest Day 2 Quest to the Land of Sweets Day 3 Quest to the Magical Toy Store PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE LIST OF MATERIALS NEEDED FOR EACH CRAFT. ALSO, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOR THE CRAFT PORTION OF THE CLASS, PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS (AGES 4-5) AND RECOMMENDED FOR OLDER ONES (AGES 6-8) DUE TO USE OF SCISSORS AND OTHER MATERIALS.

Students will get familiarized with fragments of famous classical pieces. They will practice listening to short segments of classical music and expect the "clues" from the music. Students will be encouraged to use their creative thinking while playing musical games and making crafts.

For the craft portion of the class parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8).

Supply List for Camp Day 1: Magic Forest • Shoe box WITHOUT LID OR TOP (please cut it off if attached) • White playdough • Cotton ball • Wide blades of grass, a few short plants, and/or oval-shaped leaves • Construction or any other kind of paper in blue and yellow (yellow could be replaced with any shiny color – only a tiny scrap is needed) • Glue • Scotch tape • Scissors • Markers, crayons, or pencils (optional) Day 2: Land of Sweets • ONE of the following containers: yogurt cup, plastic or paper cup, fruit cup, jelly cup, or apple sauce cup. • Paper towel or toilet paper tube • Tissue paper OR 2 napkins (colorful napkins preferred, but white is fine too!) • 2 Cotton balls • Playdough • Old pencil • Small stickers, colorful scraps of paper • Markers • Scissors • Scotch tape • Glue Day 3: Amazing Toy Store • 2 plastic spoons • 2 white napkins • Tissue paper OR 1 additional napkin (colorful napkin preferred, but white is fine too!) • A piece of aluminum foil • Playdough • Small stickers, small buttons (optional) • Markers • Scissors • Scotch tape • Glue

I am a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with bachelor degree in Psychology. Also, I studied Early Childhood Education in Israel and Ukraine.
Before I started teaching on Outschool, I've being teaching creativity classes inspired by classical music and fine art in afternoon preschool program working with Pre-K through 2 Grade children. Earlier, I was a homeschooling mom for 7 years.
I believe that childhood is the best time to inspire human creativity. By regularly exposing children to works of art and classical music as well as helping kids to process their experiences through games, crafts, and dramatic play, adults have an opportunity to cultivate their creativity.
I LOVE reading books in general and children's literature in particular. I think there are so many great and beautiful kids' books waiting to be discovered. I also love co-creating with the kids: bouncing my ideas of theirs.리뷰
