🌟Your child will learn specific decoding and encoding literacy skills to develop and improve their reading over time.

🌟Skills include; letter names, letter sounds, blending cvc words, digraphs (ch, th, sh, etc.), open syllable(s), blends, magic E, inflectional endings, bossy R, vowel teams (ai, ay, ee, ea, etc.) contractions, dipthongs (oy, oi, au, etc.), prefixes, suffixes, and special sounds (trigraphs, 3 letter blends, etc.).

🌟Skill focus will depend on your child’s needs. The first class will include an informal assessment to determine what skills to begin with. After the first class, parents will receive a message that includes current strengths from their child’s class and a list of decoding and encoding skills to start with. 

🌟Classes are personalized to your child's learning pace and needs. I use engaging activities, evidence-based strategies, and plenty of practice to ensure their success. Whether your child is just beginning to learn phonics or needs support in more advanced reading and writing, my class provides the tools and guidance they need to thrive.
