수업 소개
Each week will be a new opportunity for your builder to create something wonderful to display! Conversation sessions will start with a theme that will be introduced at the beginning of the session. While this theme will be presented, it doesn't mean that it has to be upheld! This is a class of freedom and expression. Each and every participant will have the chance to form with building blocks or any other building material(s) a vision that could be shared with others in the group (if they would like to). I strive to create a learning environment that is warm, supportive, and allows students to explore. Students will be encouraged to build and share, but never forced. Students can listen, build in silence, or simply turn off their cameras if it's in their spirit to. Weekly Themes (will repeat with different aspects of the theme explored): 1. Week of June 5th - Topic: Nature - we will look at and talk about our favorite animals, habitats and share facts. We will then learn about the word "adaptation" and build a model of our favorite animal, pet, bug, etc with the building material of your choice. 2. Week of June 12th - Topic: Travel - we will talk about places that we have visited both near and far! We will then learn about the word "explore" and build a model of an imaginary place that we would like to visit with the building material of your choice. 3. Week of June 19th - Topic: Movies - we will talk about movies we have seen and, if we have a favorite, talk about it. We will then learn about the word "character" and build a model of a character or scene in their favorite movie or movie they have seen with the building material of your choice. 4. Week of June 26th - Topic: Hobbies - we will talk about our hobbies and learn about the hobbies of others in the class. We will then learn about the word "skill" and build a model that shows off the learner's building skills with the building material of your choice.

If the learner has blocks (such as Legos, building block toys, etc) feel free to bring them to each class (no matter how big or small). If the learner doesn't have block, NO WORRIES! You can bring another toy to build with or a piece of paper to draw your creation.

교사 전문성 및 자격증
석사 학위 심리학 City University of New York (CUNY) - John Jay College에서
Greetings! I'm Courtney and so pleased to meet you! I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University, a Masters Degree from The City University of New York, and a TESOL from Arizona State University.
For the past 7 years, I have worked with a startup as a professional college essay writer and have taught writing and literacy skills in-person and online to both K-12 and adult learners. In these classes, I would engage all of my learners in topics that were of interest to them. This allowed for speedy growth and progress in every aspect of their literacy, speaking, and writing development.
My classes are writing, conversation and literacy-based. Expect a book club, a creative writing class, a social club, and fun trivia as a few of my course offerings.
In my classes, I take a communicative approach to learning. I strive to meet your student where they are in their learning journey and support them from there. Whether it is a 1-day class or a 5-week class, the attention I give to your learner (and you) is personalized.
Speaking of personal, I am a mother of a wonderful 8 year-old. His creative and imaginative personality helps fuel mine. Also, I am from New York City and elephants, lemurs, coffee, and cooking are some of my favorite things.
I appreciate you for your time and look forward to meeting you and your learner in my class!
- Courtney
