수업 소개
YouTubers who want to increase their views should spend more time making clickable thumbnails. In this course, we will cover 10 strategies to make a thumbnail clickable in week one. In each of the following weeks, I will demonstrate how to make a specific type of thumbnail in Photopea. This demonstration will show them step by step how to use Photopea to make the thumbnail. Then I will ask the students to recreate it using their own photos (One style per week). Thumbnails start simple and get more complex throughout the course to help students build their skills. Students can request that we cover specific thumbnail types or effects to make sure they get the learning they want to out of the course. This is a flex course. Every lesson comes with a short video lesson, most of which are walkthroughs of how to create the type of thumbnail for that week. Students are asked to post their thumbnails on a padlet for others to view, rate, and comment on. I will provide feedback as requested or at the end of each week to the group through the Outschool discussion board. Learners are encouraged to ask questions using Outschool messaging. Class Topics: Week 1: 10 strategies to make a thumbnail clickable and how to Install Photopea Week 2: Basic Photopea tools, finding images, and how to make a thumbnail with 2 or more panels Week 3: Adding text or arrows with an outline and crafting a vs style of thumbnail Week 4: Cutting out an image to overlay on another image to make the most popular types of thumbnails Week 5: Optional Q and A (No New Content) Students who have taken my class called "Build a Professional Looking Roblox Thumbnail for YouTube in a Free Program" will find that there is overlap with this class. This flex class goes into more depth and teaches new tools. Please contact me for a discount if you want to take both classes.

1) Week one has the same content as one of the weeks in my 15 steps to a subscribable thumbnail class so students who enrol in both are eligible for a discount.
2) Creating a YouTube following takes a lot of time and effort. This course will help students get their channel ready for attracting subscribers, but producing consistent quality content is needed to attract and keep subscribers. Students should not expect that they will get a lot of subscribers immediately.
3) I may ask students to watch video clips from YouTube. I will screen them before class to make sure they do not contain swears, are not explicit, and are culturally sensitive. I cannot watch all videos on a channel so I cannot guarantee that the entire channel is kid-friendly. Videos will be used for educational purposes. I cannot control if students want to subscribe to those channels after class.
4) Students will be permitted to share their YouTube channel information with each other. Sometimes students try to get people to subscribe to their channels in sessions about YouTube. Students are not allowed to self-promote their channels. If they continue to attempt to self-promote I may need to remove them from the class. They are encouraged to talk about the kinds of videos they make where it is relevant. If other students are interested in subscribing that may happen naturally. However, students must not ask their peers to sub for sub.
5) If your child is under 13 they will need your support and guidance when creating and uploading videos. YouTube requires creators to be age 13 or older to have an account. Many younger children have an account, but it is important that their parents are involved in keeping them safe online. 수업 자료
Google documents, Padlet, and Google forms will be used to share course content and collect feedback from students. Photopea will be used for photo editing. Students with Photoshop will also be able to follow along since the programs are extremely similar (and I have both). Students are not required to have a YouTube channel for this course, but the course is designed to help students become YouTubers so they may feel left out if they do not have one. Students must have parental permission to share their YouTube channel name and link with the class.
