My teaching style is the "I do", "We do", "You do" method of teaching. I teach at each stage until the student is ready to try the next step, building their confidence along the way, until they're comfortable to try on their own. 

In this class we will cover all aspects of reading comprehension, including but not limited to, selecting a book to read, vocabulary, main idea, plot, characters, setting, problem, and resolution. This will culminate in writing or verbally sharing a concise summary of the material read.

Because this is a 1:1 class, your student will have personalized time to ask questions in a safe  environment and to "try out" the strategies in a pressure-free environment. I create a fun and supportive environment for learning for each student.
