This class covers three tea related topics. For the first part of class we will look at the broad view of the history of tea. Then we will look at how tea and tea culture has developed in different areas of the world. Lastly, we will look at types of tea and the science behind claims that tea is "healthy" or "good" for you. The class will be mostly lecture based, however there will be opportunities for questions and discussion. Learners are encouraged to share what they know already about...
Learners will understand the history of tea and it's importance in some world cultures. Learners will be able to identify different types of tea and the health benefits of each.
I love tea and have studied its history extensively. The different flavors and styles and cultural practices that relate to tea are varied. This is a topic that I am enthusiastic about and want to share with learners.

Learners will be assessed informally through discussion and Question & Answer. If families want a formal assessment: Learners may turn in a 1-4 page summary of what they learned that includes key details and events and a final opinion about their favorite or most interesting things they learned.제공되는 성적
A one page handout of notes will be provided upon request. A list of "Further Reading Books" will be provided upon request.
