We will learn tricks of the brain and optical illusions, such as how the brain processes geons, the Gestalt theory of perception and artwork, and how your brain uses heuristics to interpret things in the visual field. No previous knowledge is required, although students will be better prepared after taking Parts of the Brain: How We Think. This is Part 1 of a 3 Part series on optical illusions and visual processing in the occipital cortex. We learn Biology and Neuroscience and have a great time in the process!
