We all LOVE our little blue truck friend and the Halloween story is so fun as we find all the farm friends in their costumes! In this one time class, the students will introduce themselves to their friends. If they want to wear costumes or share what they would like to dress up as they can! We will listen to a read aloud of the book "Little Blue Truck Halloween" by Alice Shertle. The students will create a costume for the little blue truck. I will have a packet of sample costumes they can color and put on their truck. The students can also create their own with tissue paper, cotton balls, coloring, or other craft supplies! Then we will finish class with a little name activity. We will use pumpkin letters to write our name in the bed of the blue truck!

Crayons, markers, glue sticks will be used in class. A print out with the truck and some costume options will be available for class. If students want to create their own truck costume other art supplies may be needed.

Hi! My name is Allana! I have a husband and 3 kids! I currently am teaching preschool/second grade to my 4 and 7 year old children! We live in Florida and love to spend time together as a family. Our favorite things to do are read, go running or for a walk, and have movie nights!
I will be teaching classes for the preschool and kindergarten age students. I love focusing on reading and math. But I enjoy incorporating science and social studies skills at this age as well. I try to take each class and teach many skills to help the students grow as learners. I enjoy teaching interest topics and thematic units. I find that if a student is interested in a topic, they will be more engaged and willing to learn. I value learning that can connect to their lives and guide students to be excited about learning.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (pk-3) with a Reading Endorsement (K-12) from Malone University in Ohio. I have taught in several different classroom settings. I have been a tutor for 6 years. I tutored math and reading for preschoolers-5th graders. I subbed in several classrooms for a semester teaching a variety of ages and subjects. I taught first grade in the classroom for two years. I taught Reading, Math, Science, Character, and Computer. Since leaving the classroom to be home with my kids, I have taught ESL online for 4 years. I primarily teach younger learners sight words and phonics skills. I also now home school my school age children. I have taught on Outschool for over two years to over 1,000 students.
