Spend this holiday season competing against fellow learners in a fun Christmas Movie themed Blooket trivia game. Each week there is a different Christmas Movie themed Blooket game. Blooket is a free game that allows learners to test their knowledge by asking trivia questions. The learners earn virtual coins that they can spend in the Blooket market to upgrade their Blooket character. Blooket is free but learners do need an account to participate in the game. At the start of the class, I will give learners the game code for them to enter in their account. Only the learners in the classroom will be able to play the game. The first 10 minutes we discuss the week's Christmas movie and get set up with the game. The last 20 minutes we play the Blooket game. All the movies are rated PG and learners watch the movies before class. We will NOT be watching movies in class. The learners are free to discuss the weekly movie or trivia questions while playing the game. Here is a breakdown of the movies we will be watching for the game:

Class 1: The weekly movie "Elf" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "Elf" themed questions. 

Class 2: The weekly movie "The Santa Clause" - Rated PG. 
We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "The Santa Clause" themed questions. 

Class 3: The weekly movie "Home Alone" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "Home Alone" themed questions. 


Class 4: The weekly movie "Home Alone 2" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "Home Alone 2" themed questions. 


Class 5: The weekly movie "The Grinch" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "The Grinch" themed questions. 


Class 6: The weekly movie "Polar Express" - Rated G. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "Polar Express" themed questions. 


Class 7: The weekly movie "A Christmas Story" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "A Christmas Story" themed questions. 


Class 8: The weekly movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - Rated PG. We will have a discussion about what the learners liked and did not like about the film then play a 20-minute Blooket game with "The Nightmare Before Christmas" themed questions.
