What will be taught? In Blast Off to Piano, students will be introduced to the basics of piano playing, including proper finger placement, rhythm, and simple note recognition. They will also explore how piano lessons work and play a short, beginner-friendly song. What topics will you cover? Introduction to the piano keyboard (high vs. low sounds, black and white keys) Finger numbers and basic hand position Simple rhythm patterns (clapping and playing) Learning a short, beginner-friendly song What to expect in future piano lessons How is your class structured? The class follows a structured yet engaging format: Welcome & Icebreaker – Quick introductions and a fun rhythm activity to get started. Exploring the Keyboard – Identifying patterns on the piano and learning finger numbers. Basic Rhythm & Playing – Clapping and tapping simple rhythms before playing them on the piano. First Song Fun – Students will learn and play a short, beginner-friendly song. Wrap-Up & Q&A – A quick review of what they’ve learned and tips for continuing their piano journey. How will you teach? I use a mix of demonstration, interactive activities, and student participation to keep learners engaged. The class will include guided playing exercises, call-and-response activities, and visual cues to reinforce learning. What’s your teaching style? My teaching style is energetic, encouraging, and student-centered. I focus on making music fun and approachable while building confidence in young beginners. I also adapt to each student’s pace, ensuring everyone feels included and successful. How much will learners get to interact with me? This class is highly interactive! Students will engage in: Call-and-response activities (echoing rhythms and patterns) Playing exercises (students will play along with me and receive guidance) Games (identifying keys, finger numbers, and rhythms) Discussion & Q&A (students can ask questions and share their experiences) Learners will actively participate throughout the session, making it a fun and immersive introduction to piano!

I am a dedicated music educator with extensive experience teaching piano to young beginners. As the founder of Bull City Music School, I have spent years designing engaging and effective music programs for children, ensuring that learning piano is both fun and educational. I specialize in early childhood music education, creating lessons that build strong musical foundations through interactive activities, movement, and creativity.
I have taught private and group piano lessons for over a decade, working with children as young as four years old in private studios, school programs, and community music settings. My experience includes teaching introductory piano courses, beginner group classes, and early childhood music enrichment programs.
In addition to my work with Bull City Music School, I am also developing Petite Piano, a boutique piano program tailored specifically for young beginners. My approach blends elements of Montessori, Suzuki, and traditional piano methods to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
