Children are naturally curious and are forever asking questions. Maybe, as parents, you don't know the answers to all of their questions about the world, the universe, nature, science, etc. Every week of this ongoing class will tackle one of these fundamental questions of science, but using an approach and language for kids. Each class will have some basic information on the topic, some kind of activity for the kids to do, and a discussion/question-answer period. The first four weeks'...
Students will gain an understanding of some fundamental concepts in science, using words and examples they can understand. They should be able to explain what they have learned to their family and friends. My hope is the more they learn, the more curious they will be.
I am a PA certified science teacher with 36 years of classroom experience.
Any handouts needed will be provided to students/parents, and should be printed out before class begins. A list of (optional) lab or activity materials will be given in advance, so they can be gathered or purchased.
