Welcome to Beyond the Wall, a book club where readers explore some of the most exciting dystopian societies where freedom is fragile, truth is hidden, and one courageous voice can change everything, but the cost could be everything. 📚 Among the Hidden, The Hunger Games, The Last Cuentista, and The Giver aren’t just great reads—they’re launchpads for deep thinking, robust discussions, and meaningful connections. 🌟 Why Join This Book Club? Rather than racing through titles, we focus on four carefully chosen dystopian novels over six weeks. This allows students to: • Dive deep into powerful themes like justice, identity, freedom, and resistance • Sharpen critical thinking and reading comprehension skills • Engage in guided Socratic Seminars to practice thoughtful discussion • Connect with peers who also love to read and reflect • Discover the joy of asking big questions through imaginative fiction 💬 What Happens in Class? Each class is a dynamic, discussion-based session where students: • Share insights, predictions, and personal connections to the story • Explore literary elements like symbolism, character development, and setting • Participate in Socratic-style conversations built around essential questions • Create connections across books and real-world ideas • Develop their voice as thoughtful, confident readers Whether your learner is new to dystopian fiction or already a fan, this book club will inspire them to read deeply, think boldly, and speak freely.
