Let's get ready to go to a party where everyone speaks Spanish! In this course we're going to learn Spanish and on the last day of class, pretend to attend a Mexican fiesta. Students will learn by hearing, seeing, and repeating Spanish words as well as phrases. Spanish was my first language and I have been working with bilingual children (and their parents) for over 15 years. I wrote a bilingual play (for children) that was set in Mexico, filled with music and dance. I have also tutored and taught conversational Spanish. My classes are fun and memorable!

This class (and my next session) will use a Spanish textbook that is available on Amazon. All the information will be on the class syllabus which is available in the classroom. We will be making simple piñatas, Mexican hot cocoa and/or agua fresca (fresh fruit juice). Total cost for materials: $10 -$17. I've added 5 minutes to this class because I noticed that the kids in the past wanted to share, but we alway ran out of time. It wasn't always connected to Spanish, the extra 5 minutes at the end of class are dedicated to "free sharing" and don't take away from our learning time.
