Welcome to Beginning Fun in French! Bonjour et Bienvenue! Welcome to French Fun! This class will give your child the spark of excitement and wonder for a language that is spoken on every continent in the world, taught in almost every country, and is the official language in 29 countries! Although a language can be learned for ‘fun’, if learned at a young age it will be absorbed like a sponge. Get ready to watch your child blossom! Over our eight-week adventure, we will work through part of our workbook, "The Complete French Workbook for Kids," while adding some personal touches to the class to make it even more enjoyable. Please note that mixing multiple subjects into one week will depend on student age and how fast they are moving along! Week 1: Getting to know one another, the French Alphabet & pronunciations Week 2: Numbers Week 3: Colors Week 4: Shapes Week 5: Comparisons Week 6: Senses/Foods/Animals Week 7: Weather/Clothes Week 8: Human Body/Family Additional vocabulary and cultural insights are layered into each week’s theme. My teaching style as well as this workbook, are both very interactive and inspiring. By showing your child ways to immerse themselves in French in their day-to-day life, we may even get the entire family to learn as your child practices at home! 🙂 *Each class will be structured as follows: 1- Bonjour: introductions with embedded review 2- Immersion work: speaking or reading in French 3- Teaching of the new concept 4- Workbook time and individual check-in 5- Au revoir: recap & at home practice suggestions for those who want to learn more!
