Let's write poems :)! Join me each week to learn how to write a different kind of poem! Each class session is structured like a mini-Writer's Workshop session. The goal for class is to help children find the joy and fun in writing poetry.
I have been an elementary school teacher for over 19 years. The knowledge and skills that I have acquired throughout my teaching career allow me to help young learners sharpen their writing skills. I have been fully trained in the Lucy Calkins Writer's Workshop Curriculum. I have also attended numerous BER (Bureau of Education & Research) trainings focusing on Writer's Workshop and how to teach young learners how to write. As a lead teacher, I have conducted many workshops for new teachers focusing on the Writer's Workshop model. I have also helped to produce many young Writing Festival winners throughout my teaching career.
